I’m Desiree — wife to a dedicated police officer, mom to two beautiful daughters, and the founder of Desired Beauty. I’m originally from Chicago, where I went to school for hair and makeup believing that would be my lifelong path. In 2013, I moved to Connecticut needing a reset. That decision changed everything. My life shifted in ways I couldn’t have planned, and for the better. For a period of time, I stepped away from the beauty industry and worked as a medical assistant at Yale. It was steady, structured, and meaningful work — but creativity was always calling me back. I realized that beauty, in its most intentional form, was where I felt most aligned.

In 2014, I experienced cosmetic tattooing for the first time when I had my own brows done. I was immediately drawn to the precision, the detail, and the quiet confidence it gave me. In 2016, after training in New York City, I became certified and began building what would eventually become Desired Beauty. Since then, I’ve completed over 45 advanced certifications across services including brow tattooing, lip and eyeliner tattooing, scar and areola camouflage, belly button tattooing, scalp micro-pigmentation, lash services, and extensive business and marketing education. Growth has never been optional for me — it’s been necessary.

After navigating the licensing process in Connecticut and building my business from the ground up, I felt called to do more. In 2020, I launched Desired Beauty Academy to train and apprentice students who wanted to enter this industry with clarity and confidence. Creating a smoother, more supportive path for others became one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career.

More than ten years in, I’ve realized this isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am. The woman I am today is not the one I was when I started. Growth takes time. Confidence is built. And I’m deeply proud of both the person I’ve become and the space I’ve created. When you walk into Desired Beauty, I want you to feel calm. At home. Seen. I take your appointment seriously — your time, your trust, and your presence in my studio matter more than you know. Beauty here isn’t surface-level. It’s intentional. It’s personal. And yes, enhancing the outside is the fun part.

As always, thank you for your support. You are always welcome here.
